Greetings to Brady, DJ, and honored co-hosts of In the Room. I have not missed an ITR outside the “Natural Disaster” edition (looking forward to it though). A few weeks ago I nearly spilled another coffee (I’m hooked on the stuff) when I heard the ‘talkin trash’ on Kane (most undervalued performer ever alongside Christian) but that is an editorial for another time.

Again, I enjoyed the podcast as always but cannot recall disagreeing and nodding my head more at an ITR podcast on the January 3rd 2012 edition. Let me start with the most obvious objection that I had with the majority of the podcast:

1. Chris Jericho’s return was genius and will be one of the most memorable (for good reasons) for a long time to come. After six weeks (I think) of odd and intriguing videos that had the IWC (good one, Brady) speculating and pretty darned excited, Chris walked out with shades of Kuafman by shamelessly soaking in the crowd reaction and mocking CM Punk (as Vince had indicated in an earlier comment) but even more so (to me) Hulk Hogan, Quadripper H, and the Rock in the process. Jericho cleverly mocked many of the top-level good guys that drive the IWC crazy.

OK … I am very sorry that this is not really a post but I have seen some pretty darn small posts here. This is really a call for help. I have some buddies who are really into UFC (‘real’ fighting) and I have been trying to get into it …

Whenever I watch it I see guys like GSP and others seemingly mount a guy until he taps out (if a guy in spandex wraps himself around me like that I am tapping out … pain or no pain ;) ). I think that I have been watching the wrong UFC events. I saw one of the GSP/BJ Penn fights and it seemed like most of the fight had GSP pinning BJ Penn and punching him in the jaw repeatedly (Penn is one tough bastard to last that long). continue reading…

Going back eleven years ago, we had the birth of ‘modern’ reality TV in Survivor and Big Brother (at least to my knowledge). People were hooked and from what I saw back then, five minutes was too much for me. I couldn’t stand that crap and basically made fun of anybody I knew who watched it. Friends would talk about the ‘Bachelor’ and I would tell them that I would rather tell a thousand people that I am a wrestling fan (let’s face it, it’s not always easy everywhere you go with the stigma attached to it) than tell ten people that I watch any reality TV show. Reality TV, in my humble opinion, was a sign of the decay of modern society. I was blown away that people would watch that utter garbage (obvious scripting, annoying characters, and lowest common denominator).

That was until Tough Enough showed up. I am afraid that I enjoy one reality TV show AND I am a wresting fan. The current season of Tough Enough has been consistently the most enjoyable hour of TV wrestling that I have watched the last few weeks. It does have the issues of other reality TV (in my limited and forced exposure to that crap) … especially editing and twisting the truth, but it has been a really enjoyable season. continue reading…

Kane as I like to Remember Him

As much as I enjoyed the March 28th go-home show for Wrestlemania 27 this year, I did see pure red for a couple of seconds. I should not have seen red as I, and you, should be accustomed to what we saw on that edition of Raw. The same unspeakable travesty has been occurring in WWF/WWE for over a decade. What caused this outburst of anger for me?

The biggest lost opportunity in a single wrestler in WWE history (my argument) took another tumble. Yes, friends, Kane performed the ‘Santino trumpet celebration’. Am I overreacting? I don’t think so. continue reading…

Please note that I did post this on the dying WSW website where a few of us hooked up but I don’t know how long it will be up.  I apologize to those on thebradyhicks.com who have no idea of what Who’s Slamming Who (WSW) is … no point in learning now ;)

I had meant to post something nice on WSW because in its heyday, we had Brady, Jim Cornette, and Kenny Bolin all on one website posting weekly along with interesting (and some pretty silly as well) posts and neat exchange of ideas.  When Tommy Fierro, photo above, decided to move WSW to another website it appears that none of these guys will be a part of his new website.  Tommy also felt like he should take a stab at posters on his site.

Without putting you through fluff about his new site, Tommy’s words were:

Never can I recall a more wayward period just before Wrestlemania for WWE.  There is simply big matches in the works and we are on the heels of the Royal Rumble 2011!  This seems to be a very unpredictable Wrestlemania on the horizon.

Thus I decided to create a top 10 list of what I would like to see at Wrestlemania 27 this year.  It’s very doubtful that WWE and the McMahons would do a number of these tasks (these are not predictions) but I did try to remain a bit on the reality side of things.

It’s late where I am and without further ado, here is what I would love to see at Wrestlemania 27:
