Several sources have reported that there will be no Money In The Bank match at Wrestlemania XXVII. Instead, the concept will now become exclusive to the gimmick PPV event. This dramatic change in the format of Wrestlemania is likely an attempt to keep the match fresh while avoiding the possibility of having several briefcase holders at once. However, removing this match will likely lead to some horrible booking decisions in the very near future. If WWE were to keep this match on the Wrestlemania card, Jack Swagger, Christian, Drew Mcintyre, Evan Bourne, and John Morrison would have a place on the card that people actually enjoy. Without the match, these superstars will likely be placed in mixed tag matches and thrown together matches that take away from the overall quality of the show.

The best option for WWE would be to keep the match at Mania; the winner of this briefcase would then challenge any champion of his choosing. The Miz and Kane would both confined to specific branded briefcases, there should be no problem with three different briefcases. Giving the win to someone like John Morrison at Wrestlemania would allow him to challenge The Miz in the future. Wrestlemania is intended to be the blow off for a year of feuds. Allowing the MITB match to remain at Wrestlemania would help to springboard mid-card talent into main event feuds. If the creative staff at WWE is serious about making new stars, Money In The Bank should remain at Wrestlemania.

Ever since the Rock came back a few weeks ago everyone has been getting pumped about WrestleMania and what his role will be. Unfortunately no one knows his role despite everyone on RAW never shutting their mouths talking about it. His return has gone from being something of great excitement to really adding nothing major to the current WWE. And really that is true of all the big name returns so far. continue reading…

Loyal followers of In The Room have likely heard discussion of having HBK referee a match at Wrestlemania XXVII. However, many Internet wrestling websites have been reporting that Steve Austin will be named the special guest referee for the Lawler Vs Cole match. As a wrestling fan, I can only hope that the WWE decides to leave Austin off the card. If Austin were placed into the match, this would only serve as promotion for the upcoming Tough Enough premier. There is very little logical reason for the rattlesnake to play a part in this match. Forcing him into the match would come off as nothing more than an attempt to stack the card by offering Rock and Austin at Mania.

WWE needs to work HBK into the match between Undertaker and Triple H, this is the only way it comes off as unpredictable. HBK has contributed a promo to the feud that came across far better than what either man added to the buildup. Adding HBK into this match would make it appear more realistic. Wrestling could strive to provide compelling television; WWE can achieve this by adding the element of HBK to the match. Playing up a struggle between doing the right thing and helping his friend would add layers to this conflict and help to create some memorable moments. Mania needs some sweet canvas music, Austin as a referee would be a wasted opportunity for something much bigger.

To many wrestling fans this may sound crazy but it’s something I think should be considered. Now no one could call him the best Champion ever by any standard whether it be wrestling ability or overall popularity and yet he is still the biggest name in wrestling today, has been for a while and shows no signs of stopping anytime soon. While Vince and WWE can take credit for most of that I think a lot of it comes down to Cena himself. continue reading…

Wrestling relationships never last, from Macho Man and Elizabeth to Billy and Chuck, they are either torn away by their egos or torn away by their hearts. Once again, the wrestling world has lost another power couple, that being The Miz and Alex Riley.

Not since MTV gave Justin Beaver a music award, I am outraged and plead with my fellow wrestling fans to join me in protest. Why wasn’t John Cena’s Legendary in any of these categories?  It could have been voted best picture, I mean when his younger brother was teaching him how to wrestle my heart filled with tears. Cena is still a crappy wrestler, so apparently he didn’t learn anything while filming. Best Supporting Actor, Danny Glover hasn’t played a dramatic roll like that, since he sat on that toilet with the bomb in it.   As for best actor, that goes to John Cena, not only for his roll in Legendary, but his Vanilla Ice response to the Rock calling him Barney’s anis. Ice, Ice baby was back, for a brief interlude, as he made no sense because we stopped listen at U Can’t. But I think it’s; adorable as he struggles to strap on a pair, and become a talented white rapper, Cena did you also star in Eight mile, oh wait didn’t Eight Mile actually win an award? So I guess not.

Seeing Vince on Raw recently made me realise he probably isn’t going to be around for much longer or at least not in charge of things. I don’t know if it’s because I hadn’t seen him for about nine months but time seems to really be catching up with him fast. Not only that but all he seems to do now is turn up to make a quick announcement or to announce a later announcement. The spark seems to have gone and whilst he is still the guy making big decisions, things in the WWE are changing quite alot and I think eventually they will be for the better. Enter Hunter. continue reading…

The Rock is saving Wrestle Mania by hosting this predictable event. CENA vs. MIZ, why hasn’t WWE killed this enough already. I hope the Rock does come back as a full time active wrestler, to get us through the boring promo’s of two of WWE’s biggest sissies. “I am the Miz and I am awesome, I just beat my top competitor, an elderly man who may have his own teeth and may not.”  Cena in his flying purple Barney outfit flys into the ring, ” You can’t see me, because I am wearing this purple shirt” And really, have you ever questioned Cena’s wrist flexibility as he waves his hand back and forth?  This site is a PG site and Brady doesn’t want me to get him sued so I will say it this way, Cena has amazing wrist flexibiltiy from those not so lonely nights on the road, who needs a helper when you got an amazing five knuckle schuffle. With the Rock we all win at Wrestle Mania, without the Rock, its just Cena who wins.

Thank God; the senior citizen bus strike is over, why Ric Flair actually found his way to the Impact Zone. Wow and did he ever provide a great show, setting up Fortune by giving them a false sense of hope that he was in their corner. But Ric changed like he does his wives and sided with his bitter enemies Bischoff and Hogan in Immortal. If I am a member of Fortune, I would be full of joy that we don’t have to be seen with Grandpa anymore.  Yes Ric; was bringing down the ship of Fortune, Ric people don’t call you God; they call you as old as God.  As for Ric making A.J., A.J. was already made, already an icon until he meets you. Same with Beer Money, and Kaz, icons and legends of current time, current day and they can still wrestle.  How sad is it, that Flair stuck with Immortal, The Hardy’s who walk worse than he does, and have more injuries than he has, why they can share the same walker. But wait Immortal still has Gunner, Murphy, Rob Terry and my question here is who; are these people? Back up dancer for the Mickey Mouse Club.  But wait Immortal has Bischoff who is 200 pounds over weight and is so grey haired he makes Flair look young. Than there is Hogan, HOGAN, and where has he been? Well Ladies and Gentlemen the Impact Zone is so big, that Hulk went to the bathroom and can’t find his way back, and the MMC dancers are so stupid they don’t know where they left Hulk. Hulk is stuck somewhere between the Princess house and the set of Judge Judy. Fortune stop picking the bones and burry them already.
