What is going on, Wrestling Fans!!!!
My name is Michael Sloman and I have been an avid WWE/F wrestling fan since I was nine years old. I’m 26 now and consider it to be one of my biggest passions in life.
I also am a spoken word poet/hip hop mc and writer since the age of thirteen, and for the past several years I have been writing songs and poems related to WWE stories and characters. In fact, I have attached a song I wrote for John Cena called “Tribute to You” that I have attempted multiple times to get to Cena himself. I gave a copy of the song to Mick Foley two months ago at his comedy show in Scotia, NY, hoping that he would give the cd to Cena. Who knows if he ever did. I then tried WWE Music in NYC a ton of times, but I’m sure you can understand how difficult it is for a no name with no inside connections to get a shot. Then this past Friday night, I gave a copy to Jerry the King Lawler at a Northeast Wrestling show in Poughkeepsie, NY. He said he’d give it to Cena, too, but again who really knows. If you are a Cena fan, I hope you can relate the sentiment the song conveys. If not, I understand too, and actually have a rap song for The Rock too called “Eyebrows to the Sky” which I’ll post at another time.
Along with all of the songs and poems I will be posting about WWE, I also write articles as well! I have a Master’s in creative writing from the College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY, and I’m looking forward to sharing my creative ideas with all of you! Big up to Brady Hicks for bring me on the site!

So given that it’s a week before Wrestlemania. here are my uneducated guesses as to the results for next Sunday.

This week is a re-telling of wrestling memories in various venues I’ve attended live. The reason they’ve provided me memories occurs because of many different reasons, as you’ll see.
ECW Arena
From May 1993 to 1995, I sat in the front row of section C (the on-camera section with John “Hat Guy/Hawaiian Shirt” Bailey and company) the first two years at the ECW Arena, before the Club ECW plan was devised. Since I’d been burned by former Tri-State Wrestling Alliance promoter Joel Goodhart for a similar plan, I refused to put out the money for the “4-packs”. It turns out that wasn’t such a bad idea, as the seats I’d regularly sat in with my brother, were the very seats that were involved in the 1995 Terry Funk-Cactus Jack “fire incident”.
So I moved up with the “bleacher bums” in Section C. As I sat there, I was fortunate enough to see ECW at its best during its golden era. I also was able to gather many other memories until December 23, 2000, the last ECW show at the ECW Arena.

With the death of Owen Hart, and British Bulldog Davey Boy Smith; as well Bret Hart’s stroke and other health problems, I thought the death of the Empire was finally crumbling. But than WWE bought in Natalya, Tyson Kidd and Harry Smith, which was great but as a Hart fan since birth something just didn’t feel the same. I grew up in a Stampede Wrestling house, my Grandfather walked acrossSaskatchewanwheat fields to watch Stu Hart’s promotion on the neighbours black and white television. My parents would go faithfully to live events inEdmontonto watch a young Bret Hart pave his way in history. The Hart Empire, had world wide appeal but with a localised twist, I never thought that I could witness a return of “Stampede” or a “Hart dynasty return” in such an intimate venue.
But low and behold, Harry Smith received his dismissal from the WWE by violating their so called “Heath and Wellness” program, I always thought it was a cheap way out for lack of creativity on WWE’s part. Than on March 17 2012 I stumbled on a poster in a Casino Lobby, it was Lance Storm’s promotion Prairie Wrestling Alliance. Harry Smith was world champion and I had to go, I enjoyed the matches, the guys were talented and entertaining, they had their gimmicks, the heels were heels and the heroes were the heroes, as each match kept coming I felt like a four year old watching Stampede with my family, shocked and bewildered on how these men could do such amazing moves and still get up to walk out. Than there was an autograph signing during intermission, it was with Harry Smith. As I got my autograph and a picture, I realised this Harry, was much more relaxed, and friendly than the WWE superstar I meet two years prior, who looked tired, and life less like a production puppet he had to be. His match against “M” was very entertaining, I was on the edge of my seat, and yelling “go Harry” and I was happy, excited and nervous but all in all I found my love for wrestling again. Than as the match was done Harry took the time to circle the ring and greet everyone that was ringside, when he got to me I snuck in a hug, in that moment I was hugging a piece of the men I had admired, loved and respected, for I was holding a piece of Bret, Owen and Davey Boy Smith all at once. It was a dream come true to hug a piece of history in my arms. Thank You; Harry.

Hulk Hogan has a sex tape and is pissed about it, threatening to sue anyone who wishes to promote it or distribute the damn thing, but come on Hulkster this could be an adventure. Hulk Hogan could turn Hulkimania into Pornimania. Hulk could make all his old movies, and air them on his own network, giving WWE and most porn channels a run for their money, brother. The ratings would turn red and yellow if he had “Celebrity sex tape challenge”, where celebrities compete to having the best sex ever. Hogan could also giveDixieand Vince McMahon another run by starting his own wrestling promotion, the Naked Wrestling Order. Here Hogan could relive his career, wrestling such greats as Ric Flair, Dusty Rhodes, Sting, Nash, of course we seen all of these matches time and again, but this time they will be in the Buff and I don’t mean Bagwell. Hulk its time to think retirement and new chapters, why fans every where will be saying their prayers when the Hulkster and his python are jacked up on vitamins and running wild on Pornimania.

Thanks to all of you who have sent such kind remarks over the last two weeks regarding my dad’s passing. While there is nothing that can compare with the loss of a parent, your kind thoughts have made it a bit easier.
As you’ll imagine, given that my dad had colon cancer and my mom is a breast cancer survivor; I’ll do what I can from time to time to publicize independent and other events benefitting cancer research and treatment. One of them will lbe taking place in April in North Jersey; as Independent Wrestling Federation will bring the band back together for a live event on April 28 in Nutley, NJ with proceeds to benefit the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life.
The star-studded event happens Saturday, April 28, 2012 with a 7:45 pm bell-time at the Parks & Recreation Building, 44 Park Avenue, Nutley, NJ.
Their release is as follows:
