This week IN THE ROOM on WEXP Philly – and thebradyhicks.com – Pro Wrestling Illustrated’s Brady Hicks, and DJ, begin the search for their newest cohost, and talk plenty of happenings related to WWE Raw, Survivor Series, The Rock, and James Storm vs. Robert Roode. All that plus Asylum, one-half of the massive independent tag team The Flatliners checks in to offer his thoughts on the ECWA’s upcoming, November 19th K-Cup Tag Team Tournament in Delaware, the art of tag team wrestling, the future of this seemingly dying art, and his recent opportunity to run with Hulk Hogan. Plus, Brady’s friend and colleague Mike Bessler calls in to discuss this weekend’s POWW Entertainment Wrestling show in Chicago, which he will be covering live. In other news, the contest for tickets to CZW’s show in Philly this Saturday (a double-header with Dragon Gate-USA) has yet to yield a winner. To win the tickets, call the IN THE ROOM hotline at (609) 755-5ITR. Thanks, as always, for the support.

A Comment from Brady:
On a side note, this show was so jam-packed that we didn’t even get to delve into all the great Bret Hart-Shawn Michaels talk that went on last week on the board. Stay tuned … more on THE GREAT DEBATE v2.0 to follow.

East Coast Wrestling Association, Voorhees, New Jersey–As announced this week by Brady Hicks on the IN THE ROOM podcast on thebradyhicks.com and ECWA official Joe Zanolle on 1wrestlingradio.com, newly announced WWE Hall of Fame candidate Tammy “Sunny” Sytch will be the host of this year’s ECWA Super 8 tournament.

For Sytch, the journey to the Super 8 has been a long and winding one. A longtime valet in WWE ECW,WCW, and a number of independent promotions, Sytch went from a virtual unknown in the wrestling world (if not for the work of Pro Wrestling Illustrated) to one of WWE’s most popular performers and–in many people’s eyes–WWE’s ORIGINAL Diva. Now … she can add Hall of Famer to her list of accolades. continue reading…

This might seem like an odd question to people and given I have managed to avoid most things TNA for the best part of a year my feelings toward it might seem obvious. The problem is I have never been proud of tuning out from TNA like many others and the more I think about it the more I wonder if I should just give up, get off my high horse and join in with the rest of the masochists that seem to be TNA’s core audience. continue reading…

This week, former WWE Smackdown star–and Straight-Ege Society member–“BIG LG,” the former LUKE GALLOWS steps IN THE ROOM with Brady Hicks, Kevin, and Young John to talk about his experience on the road with WWE, starting at the age of just 21. On Teaming With Punk in SES:
They wanted a big guy with [CM Punk]. He didn’t really need it, nor do I think he thought he did. I thought we made it really work though. I tried to change my look, change a little my style in the ring. I think a little character development may have helped us more, but on the other hand–and he’s one of my best friends so this isn’t me kissing butt–he is one of the best on the mic. I could understand why they wouldn’t give us more to say, but I always wish they would have.
