I have had it. Last weeks RAW was the final straw. First let me say that this isn’t another ” I wish it wasn’t PG” rant most fans have had at some point. I don’t feel there is anything inherently wrong with having a PG product if it is done right. My problem is WWE clearly aren’t doing it right and not only does it hurt them but it hurts us (me) too. continue reading…
I sat at my computer and wrote down the Jan 30 2011 results for the Royal Rumble, after looking at my short list, I was sadden. For weeks they advertised it as “improved, there was 40 wrestlers and not 30″. But was the Rumble really worth are the all mighty dollar? Along with cable/satellite bills Pay Per Views have risen in cost, I can remember my friends ordering them for $20 dollars and now the price ranges from $40 to $ 70 CND. Pay Per Views aren’t worth there weight in gold anymore, we used to have characters with voices, like Austin, Taker, Triple H and HBK to mention a few, the “new” WWE stars can barely cut a promo, does Randy Orton have a tag line? Neither does Drew McIntyre or Dolph Ziggler. The Miz has “I am the Miz, and I am awesome”, wow that took a lot of brainstorming there, that is how every Alcohol Annoymous meeting starts. Oddly enough Alberto Del Rio as the same line, but he says he is better than you or me. Next is the actual result of matches, either there is interference or the matches are just forgotten about TNA is mostly guiltly of this. TNA promises the match using some of their bigger names, and what happens nothing. If you are vowing to give us a Bubba vs. D-Von match deliver that match, or if you know the star has fallen on hard times don’t even make the match until you know that wrestler is already to go. The next thing is how storyline is continued, usually a feud in the WWE lasts a year, and with TNA who in the hell knows, when its going to end. Lastly not each division is represented, at the Royal Rumble the tag, Intercontinental and US titles weren’t defended, and why because these competitors had to be in the Royal Rumble. My goodness Vinnie Mac, if your boys can’t fight two matches in one night why even have them on staff.
Never can I recall a more wayward period just before Wrestlemania for WWE. There is simply big matches in the works and we are on the heels of the Royal Rumble 2011! This seems to be a very unpredictable Wrestlemania on the horizon.
Thus I decided to create a top 10 list of what I would like to see at Wrestlemania 27 this year. It’s very doubtful that WWE and the McMahons would do a number of these tasks (these are not predictions) but I did try to remain a bit on the reality side of things.
It’s late where I am and without further ado, here is what I would love to see at Wrestlemania 27:
This week, Young John returns IN THE ROOM as DJ’s extended illness keeps him out of action. Brady Hicks, Kevin McElvaney, and John begin to discuss the WWE’s possible Royal Rumble plans and the re-introduction of Karen Angle, then start to get excited for the announcement–next week–of the first competitor in this year’s ECWA Super 8 tournament, exclusively IN THE ROOM.

On His Upcoming TNA Bound for Glory match:
Just like any other Bound for Glory. I know I have to step it up and put on the best performance I can. I’m excited it is Jeff Hardy and Mr. Anderson because I think they are two of the big upcoming names in TNA. I believe you’re going to see a lot of great things in this match. The match will be match of the year. We’re going to steal the show and give the TNA fans a really great main event.
Comparing Bound for Glory to WrestleMania: In TNA they give every wrestler on the card the ability to steal the show. We’re ALL put in a position where you’re trying to have the best match. And that’s why a lot of the matches are so good.
On Kurt’s Reaction to Several of the Stars Who Have Come In:
I have mixed feelings. I don’t exactly want somebody to come in from WWE and win the title from our best wrestler, which is AJ Styles. Rob Van Dam is a featured kind of wrestler, Jeff Hardy is as well. Mr. Anderson never really got his real chance, and I’m thankful for that. Right now, we actually has a better roster than WWE. The TNA wrestlers here have carried the company to this point and they deserve a lot of credit. We need to utilize those guys, and let the former WWE guys somewhat enhance them.
Comparing TNA to WWE:
A lot of times, WWE doesn’t get all that they could out of their wrestlers. I don’t think an AJ Styles could have done all that he did if he were in WWE. There is no wrestler better in the world than AJ Styles. He’s the best in the world. It just shows that we’re able to utilize wrestlers differently than WWE. We’re not just that prototype 6’2″, 240 pound man.
Kurt’s “Dream” Final Opponent: I had a good little run with Randy Orton, but he wasn’t as good as he is now. I think [Randy] is the best wrestler up there right now. He carries that company as a character and as a wrestler. I see another guy that’s going to step up that I want to wrestle is the Miz. He’s really stepped up in recent years. In TNA, I’d love to do more with the X Division guys, let them wrestle their style as I wrestle mine.
On Vince McMahon:
I loved Vince. We ended badly, but he and I had a great relationship for a long time. He was like a father to me. Vince and I just weren’t on the same page. I was burned out. I felt trapped and overworked and just wanted to get out. Vince did the right thing.
Plus, Kurt checks in with his thoughts on RVD “The Rock Star,” who specifically in TNA deserves more of a push, who from WWE he would LOVE to wrestle, Dixie vs. Vince, his excitement with Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin both being free agents, and his thoughts on WWE stars such as Randy Orton, The Miz, Bret Hart, and Christian.
