This week, independent star CHRIS WYLDE comes IN THE ROOM to talk about his experiences competing in ECWA, heading into the Super 8 tournament. Then, a HUGE surprise guest stops by to stir up some trouble as Brady Hicks and the gang discusses WWE’s WrestleMania buildup, TNA Victory Road, and–of all things–Snookie.

  • Why I Can’t Get Snooki Off The Brain

    Is this disrespectful to Yokozuna?

It has been less than 24 hours since Nicole “Fat Shi…. Snookie” Polizzi said she was wrestling at Wrestlemania. Working with the wrestling business has caused everyone to ask what I think of the situation. Well, it really isn’t that hard to figure out what I think, but if you really want to know… please continue.
Wrestlemania is compared to the Superbowl in terms of wrestling events. It is the end all be all of wrestling. Workers want more than anything to wrestle at that event. Now you throw a reality star into the mix and literally spit on wrestling fans. Yeah, they did it before with Lawrence Taylor, but he was an athlete right?
Snooki being on the card bothers me on so many levels. Let’s first talk about her star power. Could you really argue that Snooki hasn’t been a bigger star than The Rock in the past two years? You can’t, because it’s true. But what happened when Snooki came to the ring last night? She was half booed and half cheered. Think about what happened when The Great One came back. The ovation went on for 3-5 minutes. The next question is why was she booed and The Brahma Bull cheered. Well it is really quite simple. Wrestling fans attend wrestling events. Wrestling fans don’t watch wrestling for the same reasons that people watch the “Jersey Shore.” Wrestling fans want entertainment and Shore fans want to feel better about their lives.

  • Superheroes/Villains in Wrestling

    Hello Brady World.

Some of you may know me, some of you may not. My name is Harry Barnett. I am a wrestling fan, some of you may have heard of me before, you may follow me on twitter (@InstantClassicH), you may have heard me on my 4 weeks of Who’s Slamming Who or you may just think “Who in the blue hell is this guy?!”.

So why am I here? Well Brady Hicks gave me a very nice offer to come on over to the site and write and podcast! So today I accepted that offer and it looks like you will all be hearing ALOT more from me.
Now for those of you who haven’t had contact with me before: I have been a fan for just over 10 years (August to be exact) and I have been to 2 live shows (both RAW), 2 TNA Fan Interaction shows and several meet & greet events with wrestlers like Ric Flair, The Hardys, The Pope, Matt Morgan, Mick Foley and a whole lot more! Plus one thing you will grow to know and love is as of 2010 just after Lockdown: I HATE TNA!

  • Benoit:A Reply And A Different Perspective.

I have to say Rich I find what you wrote incredibly wrong on several levels. I agree Chris shouldn’t appear on WWE products ever again or go into the HOF but at the same time what you are saying is incredibly reductive, quite insulting and insensitive to some. Continue reading  Post ID 1979

  • Remove the Coward From the WWE Archives

The WWE has a storied past on par with any sport in the world today. To be removed from that history is not something easy to accomplish, unless you deserve it. In the case of Chris Benoit, this is one wrestler that should never again appear on a DVD, PPV or any wrestling program branded by WWE, WCW or ECW. While some of his fans may hope that he will some day receive the honor of a spot in the hall of fame, it would be a dark day in hell before this occurs. Above all else, Chris Benoit is a wife beater and murderer. After an extensive history of abusing his wife, he killed her, his son Daniel and himself. If Chris wanted to die, he could have easily taken his life. However, he decided that it would be best to kill his family, he then killed himself to avoid the consequences. Benoit had no such death wish, he simply took this action to avoid the consequences. Running away from a problem is something that a coward does, Chris is as cowardly as they come. At least the murders in jail are paying a debt to society, he has done no such thing. While Chris has been removed from the history of the WWE, he deserves to serve a lifetime in jail. Inducting such a terrible human being into the HOF would be very poor judgment under any circumstance.

  • RIP Who’s Slamming Who

    Posted on by VOC Nation

Please note that I did post this on the dying WSW website where a few of us hooked up but I don’t know how long it will be up. I apologize to those on thebradyhicks.com who have no idea of what Who’s Slamming Who (WSW) is … no point in learning now ;)

I had meant to post something nice on WSW because in its heyday, we had Brady, Jim Cornette, and Kenny Bolin all on one website posting weekly along with interesting (and some pretty silly as well) posts and neat exchange of ideas. When Tommy Fierro, photo above, decided to move WSW to another website it appears that none of these guys will be a part of his new website. Tommy also felt like he should take a stab at posters on his site.

  • How Did The Hardys Fall From Grace?

This is a question I keep asking myself again and again especially now both Hardys Boys are in TNA. These two men were pretty much guaranteed entrance into the Hall Of Fame. Together they helped redefine tag team wrestling. They along with The Dudley Boyz, Edge and Christian created some of the greatest and most memorable moments and matches in wrestling history twice being voted PWI’s match of the year. Seperately they won almost everything they could between them and despite this something went wrong and now they would be lucky to be seen in the WWE ever again. Continue reading  Post ID 1979

  • My Misfit HOF Inductees 2011.-2011

As we all know the WWE Hall of Fame is a difficult thing to get your head around. It is as much as an angle as anything else. The people that are in it that probably don’t deserve to be VS those that should be but aren’t and some that won’t ever be makes the whole thing difficult to gauge when talking about who should and shouldn’t go in. Here is a list of some people that I think have a legitimate claim to being allowed in based on their contributions to wrestling and who most people wouldn’t give a moments thought to.
